Old album owned by Adolf Hitler
by kristina leskova
For sure most people know who Adolf Hitler was. This name is popular because it is connected with World War. Hitler´s hometown was Linz in Austria and there he planned to open a museum of art. His collection consists from 31 albums. Germany owns nineteen pieces but John Pistone who was American soldier could give them his album that he found accidentally in his home. John was crossing with other American soldiers the Bavarian Alps when the war was finishing. He went through the home of Hitler and he was so happy that they will win over Nazis that he took one album as souvenir. He took this album with him in Ohio. He put it into bookshelve and did not pay much attention! to it. But few days ago one of his friends came to visit him. And he was very curious about this album as he saw it in the bookshelve. Through internet he found that there is a foundation for the preservation of art. This organization is searching for interesting things that have huge value. After finding some kind of these things the organization works on its restitution. Founder of this organization – Robert Edsel travelled to Ohio to examine the Piston´s album. But he is convinced that Pistone is owner of one of the missing albums that belong to collection. This album is the thirteenth part of the art collection. Pistone wants to give this album to Germany because he wants that it would get in right hands. So if you will find something very old do not throw it away, you can contact people who collect historical souvenirs.
